Brief Introduction:

In a remote small town in Hangzhou, China, a bookstore called “Gu Zi ” had been open for half a century. About two months ago, there was a rumor in the town that to build a resort for tourism, Gu Zi Bookstore must be demolished. Grandma Kang, the bookstore owner, was 73 years old that year. In order to keep the bookstore, she decided to launch an adventure on the day before the bookstore was to be demolished.

She tried her best to call on the villagers to attend the farewell party of the bookstore. Then something bizarre happened that no one really expected. Significant past events in the life of a protagonist flashed one by one within 24 hours.

The novel focuses on Grandma Kang defending her bookstore on the last day. From the perspective of Grandma Kang, the reader can see all kinds of life in the small town. Some villagers were negative and pessimistic with indifferent hearts. Based on the memories of 25 world-famous literary works, Grandma Kang gradually recalled her ups and downs of her life. But in the end, there will be hope and faith in life.
